I did not get a welcome email for my newly created account
We know that you most certainly already have done it, but we mention it anyway, please take a look at your spam folder. Quaive is probably new in your organisation and so the emails it sends are deemed strange and foreign sometimes.
If the email indeed got lost, you can easily request another one. Go to the login form and click the “I forgot my password” link below. It will ask you for your username. If you don’t know your username anymore, you need to ask your administrato to hand it out for you. Then click “Start password reset”. Now a new email is sent out.
Note that the password reset links in these emails are only valid for a few days. If you wait too long, like after your holidays, you need to request a new reset email!
Please check the following:
- as a user: is the username you typed in the forgot password form correct? Your username is not your email address!
- as an admin:
- check if a user with the given username exists in Quaive
- check if the email address for that user is correct and existing
- try again by resending the forgot password form with the correct user ID
- if the user did not get an email - let him or her check her spam folder
- if the user did not get an email in his spam folder, ask the maintainer of the mail server to check if an email was sent out
The link in the welcome email does not work
Just go to the login screen and click the “I forgot my password” link again. Likely the link has expired. We know this is irritating but here security goes first and we only allow that link to work for a short time to avoid abuse.
How do I set up my first password?
Typically you will receive an invitation email from your IT with a link in it. You click it and you will have to specify your initial password.
If you haven’t received that email but you are positive you already exist in the system as user, use the “I forgot my password” link on the login form to reset your password.
How to reset my password?
Log into Quaive. Then click on your profile top right. A dropdown appears with the “Change password” function in it.
How can I change my user data
- Click on your profile top right.
- A dropdown appears with a “My profile” link in it.
- Now click “Info”.
All information that you are allowed to set is now editable for you. Some information might not be editable. This information is preset by your organisation and likely gets set by some central user directory like “Active Directory” or “LDAP”.
